New Delhi: IIT Kanpur, which is the organizing committee for JEE Advanced 2018, in a latest update on the JEE Advanced website has released the mock test for the exam to be held on May 20, 2018. The mock test can be accessed by anyone. This is the first year that JEE Advanced exam will be a computer based test (CBT). Till last year, the exam was conducted in offline mode. However, as a result of certain goof ups, it was decided that the exam be conducted in computer based mode to avoid any discrepancy.

The mock test will help students familiarize with the concepts of a CBT. It will also help students get acclimatized with the functionalities of a CBT.

Mock tests, apart from helping students understand the concept of a CBT, also allow students to test their preparedness for an exam. Students planning to appear in JEE Advanced must attempt the mock test at least once. Even those who opt for pen-paper based test in JEE Main will still have to appear in CBT if qualified for JEE Advanced. So it won't be wise to skip the mock test.
