Established in 1986-87, the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) administers the state-level admission test for all polytechnic institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

Students who pass the exam must participate in the counseling process, which consists of five rounds, including a final round. The counseling process involves selecting an institution and course, document verification, fee payment, and reporting to the assigned institution.
Good Score in JEECUP
The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), is conducted for a total of 400 marks. To qualify for JEECUP Counselling 2024 based on last year's cut-off, candidates need 77 marks for the general category and 70 marks for reserved categories.
Negative Marking
The exam was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. Each correct answer earned four marks, with no penalties for incorrect answers.
The JEECUP released the answer key on June 21. Students had the opportunity to raise objections until June 23. The final answer key was determined based on these objections, and subsequently, the JEECUP Result 2024 was declared.
