The, said, admission began a day after the students' union protested and burnt an effigy of the Vice-Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar to condemn the "anti-student" prospectus, which was obtained from unofficial sources.
The testing agency has released the prospectus online. There has been no change in the fee structure, as per the new prospectus.
"It is our unanimous struggle that has defeated JNU administration's conspiracy of fee hike. Application fee for JNUEE 19-20 remains same as previous years," Amutha Jayadeep, Joint Secretary, JNUSU said after the prospectus was released. "But the fight against online examination, abolishment of BA 2nd year lateral entry, de-linking of MPhil and PhD, seat cut and reservation scuttle is still on!" she added.
The student's union member, on Thursday, raised slogans like "JNU ki problems ka ek solution, JNU VC ka eviction" and claimed that Vice-Chancellor unilaterally increased the prospectus fees by 300 per cent, closed down BA lateral entry programme in School of Languages, and de-linked MPhil-PhD programme. They alleged that there has been a 300 per cent hike in the price of prospectus.
