Manipal University Signs MoU With Boston University; To Begin Student Exchange Programme For Dental Students

Manipal University signs MoU with Boston University
New Delhi: Manipal University today issued a statement through Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boston University, Henry M Goldman Schools of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM). The MoU has been signed to promote collaboration in the field of dental education and science. The university expects that through the collaboration with Boston University, it will be able to provide a wider canvas to students enrolled in Dental programs at MCODS.

According to the release on University website, the MoU was signed today by Manipal University Vice-Chancellor Dr. H Vinod Bhat and Dr. Nirmala Rao, Dean, MCODS, and Dr. Jean Morrison, Boston University Provost and Chief Academic Officer, and Dr. Jeffrey W Hutter, Dean, BUGSDM.

The press-release by Manipal University states that through the MoU, the university seeks to work jointly with Boston University in advancing dental education and science. Manipal University seeks to establish both educational and academic collaboration with Boston University. The University said that the main aim of the MoU is to establish an exchange programme for students during the 2017-2020 academic year. 

Manipal University, in its statement, said that the Universities have mutually agreed to send a team of four students and a faculty member as team leader for two-week rotations. The rotation for BUGSDM team is expected to begin in September each academic year. The rotation for Manipal University will begin between June 1 and August 15 of each academic year.
