The National Medical Commission (NMC) has instructed all medical colleges to provide information regarding students admitted to first-year postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2023-24 by October 28. The NMC specified that colleges must submit details about the college and the students. The commission emphasized that medical colleges must ensure that admissions comply with various criteria, including the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG), sanctioned capacity, candidate selection process, cutoff date, and stipend payment.
In an official notice, the NMC stated, "Medical colleges must ensure that all PG course admissions are strictly based on merit and carried out transparently and fairly, as outlined in the Regulations. Any violations will result in the removal of the concerned students from the courses and legal action against the respective Medical College/Institution, as allowed by law."

Colleges are required to provide the following student details:
- Course name
- Sanctioned intake capacity
- Admission date
- Student name with registration number and their respective state medical council
- Category
- Gender
- NEET PG percentile, All India Rank, state rank
- Stipend
- Name of the PG teacher responsible for the student's admission

The last date for admission to broad speciality courses is October 25, 2023, and the window for entering details will remain open until October 28, 2023.
The deadline for admission to super speciality courses and the corresponding detailed submission date will be announced later by the NMC.
