NEET UG 2017: First Seat Allotment List To Be Released Tomorrow

Medical Counseling Committeee (MCC) will release the first allotment list for 15% All India Quota Seats based on NEET-UG ranks 2017 tomorrow. The round one of seat allotment process will be concluded today. Based on the choices filled by qualified candidates and the seat allotment process, the final list will be published tomorrow. Candidates who are allotted a seat in the first round will have to complete the admission formalities by July 22.
In the NEET-UG 2017 exam, out of the 10,90,085 students appeared 6,11,539 passed the medical entrance examination which was held on May 7. This year the cut off marks for general candidates was 131.

The counselling process for All India Quota seats would be held only for two rounds after which the vacant seats would be transferred to the state quota. The academic session for MBBS and BDS courses would begin from August 4, 2017.
The earlier rule where the number of candidates called for the All India Quota counselling was only five times the available number of seats has been abolished this year and all candidates who fulfill the minimum percentile criteria except from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu and Kashmir are eligible for this counselling.
The counselling for the remaining 85% seats will be conducted by the respective states. The state counselling process based on NEET score has already begun for Gujarat, Kerala, and Maharashtra.
