NEET UG 2022 Paper Analysis: The candidates who have appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2022) exam today, July 17 found the paper easy except few sections in Chemistry. Sahil Chowdhury, a NEET UG 2022 aspirant told Careers360, that the Biology, Physics section were easy, however the Physical Chemistry was a bit difficult. "The paper was relatively easy compared to the previous year. Extra 20 minutes provided by NTA was really helpful," the candidate said. Akansh, another candidate said that the paper was balanced, but a bit tough from the last year. "Chemistry was a bit tough and the weightage was given to the Organic section. Physics, Biology was found easy." According to Mansi, the paper was neither tough nor easy. "Every section has a mix of easy and tough questions. The extra 20 minutes provided was not useful for me," she said.

As per experts, the paper was good, competitive and followed the paper pattern of NEET 2022. Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer, Vidyamandir Classes analysed the Chemistry paper as standard but a bit higher in difficulty level as compared to last year. "There are around six statement based questions and two assertion reason questions this year, which are unusual. The paper is highly competitive, those who have studied well will surely fetch good marks," Mr Kumar said.

The Zoology paper consisted of NCERT based questions, and questions were mostly statement based. "Even the MCQ based questions were mostly statement based. Overall, the difficulty level of the paper was moderate," the expert said. Analysing the Physics paper, the teacher from Vidyamandir Classes said that the paper was easy, but some calculation based questions in Physics appeared to be tough.

According to Dr Milind Chippalakatti, National Head - Knowledge Management, Deeksha, "Physics paper questions were relatively straight forward and easy. However, Chemistry few questions were tricky and time consuming and Biology questions were moderate and thought provoking. All the questions were primarily from NCERT Book. Overall, it was a student friendly paper."

"The Biology paper was moderately challenging, whereas the physics paper was easy and chemistry paper was moderately easy. The Biology paper had 78 easy questions, 18 moderate questions and 4 difficult questions. The Physics paper had 20 easy questions, 26 moderate questions and 4 difficult questions. The Chemistry paper had 26 easy questions, 19 moderate questions and 5 difficult questions," the expert said.

Dr Anurag Tiwari National Academic Director, Medical, Aakash BYJU'S analysed the Zoology paper as lengthy. According to Mr Tiwari, "Zoology Paper was lengthy. Certain questions appear to be easy at first glance but they are twisted and require precision and focus on the keywords." The Chemistry, Botany consisted of NCERT based questions, while Physics appeared to be easy, the expert said.

A total of 18.72 lakh ( 18,72,341) candidates registered for the NEET UG 2022 exam this year.
