IIMs, yet again, have featured heavily in the list of top 25 management institutes in India in the NIRF India Rankings 2019. The NIRF ranking for higher education institutes were announced yesterday by President Ramnath Kovind. IIM Ahmedabad which was ranked first in 2018 has shifted to the second place this year, while IIM Bangalore which was second last year has shifted to the first place. The top ten list is dominated by IIMs and IITs with six IIMs and three IITs in the list.
Challenging the dominance of IIMs and IITs in NIRF rankings this year is Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) which has improved its ranking from tenth last year to seventh this year.
