Jamia Hamdard, which was ranked second last year in Pharmacy category, has moved to the first place this year in the NIRF rankings which were announced yesterday. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) has moved to the third position on the list. NIPER was ranked first in the maiden NIRF rankings for Pharmacy institutes. Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai has retained its spot at fourth place.
NIRF Ranking 2019 was announced by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind on April 8, 2019. The NIRF rankings for higher education institutes were launched in 2015 and MHRD added Pharmacy category only last year.
