TANCET 2017: Apply For MBA, MCA, and M.Tech. Courses Before February 28

The application process for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2017 is underway. TANCET is conducted for admission to MBA, MCA. ME/M.Tech./M.Plan courses. The exam is conducted by Anna University, Chennai and is a gateway for admission to all government approved educational institutes in Tamil Nadu. The minimum eligibility required to apply for TANCET is a graduation degree. Interested candidates can fill application forms online on Anna University official website. The last date of application is February 28, 2017. The entrance exam will be conducted on March 25 and 26.

How to Apply
Step one: Go to Anna University official website: www.annauniv.edu
Step two: Click on the link which says TANCET 2017.
Step three: Click on Online Registration and create a user account.
Step four: Login using your user id and password and fill the application form.
Step five: Pay application fee online. After successful payment of application fee, a completed application form will be generated in pdf format. Save it for future use.
The application fee for General candidates is Rs. 500 and for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 250. The hall ticket for TANCET 2017 will be available on the official website at least a week before the exam.

- GATE category: Candidates with valid GATE 2015, GATE 2016 or GATE 2017 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in the relevant discipline (except Engineering Science and Life Science) do not need to appear for TANCET 2017.
- TANCET category: Candidates who are willing to be considered under TANCET category and will appear for TANCET 2017.
- Sponsored category: A certain number of seats are reserved for candidates who are employed and sponsored by Government organizations, Government-aided educational institutes, and registered architects with minimum 5 years professional experience. Such candidates will also have to appear for TANCET 2017.
