Times Higher Education Awards 2017 Shortlist Revealed

Times Higher Education (THE) which recently released the world university ranking has released the shortlist for Times Higher Education Awards 2017. The awards are called the Oscar of the Education world and nomination in itself is considered to be a huge deal. The awards to the winning universities will be presented on November 30, 2017. The awards ceremony will be held at Grosvenor House Hotel in London. As per the official website, this year it is the adaptability, efficiency, and creativity of individuals, teams and institutions which will be honored at the award ceremony.
There are a total of 19 categories in which awards would be given. The categories reflect THE's recognition of not just a University's performance in terms of academics but also a University's outreach, student's experience, research projects, innovation, and international presence.
Out of all the categories, the most vouched for award is the University of the Year award. This year six universities have been shortlisted for the award which include - City, University of London, University of Dundee, Liverpool John Moores University, Northumbria University, Nottingham Trent University, and University of Winchester.
The panel of judges which would decide the awardees comprises former and current office bearers from Universities across the globe, eminent scholars and policy makers in the field of education, and decision makers of varied educational agencies and organizations.
