List of top engineering colleges in West Bengal 2020

With the declaration of the WBJEEE 2020 result on August 7, most candidates who have appeared for the exam would be looking for the list and details of top engineering colleges through WBJEE. The counselling is scheduled to start soon and at stake are 33011 engineering seats across 96 institutes. The list of top engineering colleges has also been ranked as per their NIRF rankings.

The WBJEE Board will hold two separate counselling sessions. One for WBJEE rank holders and one for JEE Main applicants. JEE Main seats are reserved only in a few institutes and colleges and students applying on the basis of JEE Main scores will be eligible for those seats. In the list given below, Indian Institute of Engineering and Management, Haldia Institute of Technology and Heritage Institute of Technology have seats for JEE Main applicants while admission to the others is on the basis of WBJEE only.

WBJEE is the entrance exam for around 34,891 seats in 10 Govt. Engineering/Pharmacy Colleges (2,053 seats), 86 Private Engineering/Pharmacy Colleges (28,493 seats), 11 Govt Universities/Departments (2283 seats) and nine Private Universities(2,062 seats).
