UP Board Exam 2018 Date Sheet Released

Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education has released the exam dates for class 10 (high school) and class 12 (intermediates) examination.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education has released the exam dates for class 10 (high school) and class 12 (intermediates) examination. According to Hindi news portal Hindustan, the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education has declared the exam dates for the board examinations in a press meet today. UP Board class 10 and class 12 exams will begin on 6 February. The class 10 board exam will continue till 22 February and for class 12 students, the exam will continue till 14 March 2018.

Dr. Awadh Naresh Sharma, Education Director has said that the Board has plans to conduct the examination early this year. Previously the entire process of conducting the exam and evaluation took more than a month; however this year the Board will complete the process within a month. In April 2017, the then newly elected BJP government had decided that school examinations should be held over a span of 15 days and the results out in the next 15 days. Read in detail

There will also be a reduction in the number of exam centres, which was 11413 previously.

According to sources, for UP board exams 2018, a total of 6702483 candidates have registered out of which 3712508 have registered for the class 10 board exam. 

This year, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had issued Whatsapp numbers to curb the practice of cheating. The Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that the government was taking necessary measures to completely eradicate the 'nakal mafia' from the state and to this end the government has launched helplines and Whatsapp numbers on which anyone could lodge complaints.
