UPSC Invites Application For CDS (I) Examination, 2018

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2018 including SSC Women (Non-Technical) courses. The last date to fill application forms online is December 4, 2017 till 6:00 pm. The selection of candidates would be on the basis of a written competitive exam which will be followed by an interview for intelligence and personality test of candidates who are deemed qualified in the written test.
There are 100 vacancies at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 45 vacancies at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, 32 vacancies at Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, 225 (male candidates) vacancies at Officers Training Academy, Chennai. There are 12 vacancies for SSC Women (Non-technical) course at Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Application Process
The application process can be completed online on the official UPSC website, www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only). Application fee can be paid in cash at nearest SBI branch or online through netbanking or by using credit or debit cards.

For IMA
- Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible
- Any graduation degree from a recognized university
For Naval Aacdemy
- Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible
- An engineering degree from a recognized university
For Air Force Academy
- 20 to 24 years age as on 1st January, 2019 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 1999 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1st January, 1999) only are eligible
- Bachelor of Engineering or any graduation degree with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level
For Officer's Training Academy
SSC Course for Men
- Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible
- Any graduation degree from a recognized University
SSC Course for Women
- Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 2000
- Any graduation degree from a recognized University
