The CBSE conducts the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) to promote the growth of key skills in using mathematics for real-life applications

The Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) will be held at two levels

Level 1: A school-level competition managed by the school, with the question paper provided by CBSE via its portal

Level 2: National-level competition to be Conducted by CBSE as a computer-based test

Eligibility:

Level 1: Students in classes 8-10 at CBSE-affiliated schools

Level 2: Top three students from each school participating in Level 1

Assessment to be conducted in the following content and competencies

Content- Number Sense and Number System, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry and Spatial Sense, Data Analysis and Probability, Quantitative Aptitude

Competencies- Conceptual Understanding, Logical Reasoning and Analytical thinking, Problem-Solving skills, Strategic Approach,  Visualisation and Mathematisation

Test details: Duration: 1 hour, format: Multiple choice questions, total marks: 40 (no negative marking)

An affiliated school can apply on or before August 24 till 5.30pm

From August 27 to September 4, registered schools will receive the question paper and answer key via the portal
