Maharashtra will soon have ten new medical colleges in the state

The colleges will be located in Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Washim, Bhandara, Hingoli and Ambernath (Thane)

Along with the medical colleges, the state will also have Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), Mumbai and Vidya Samiksha Kendra

The institute plans to provide training in highly specialised areas such as mechatronics, AI, data analytics, industrial automation and robotics

Established under a Public-Private Partnership model, it is a collaboration between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the government



The Vidya Samiksha Kendra will provide access to students, teachers and administrators to crucial academic and administrative data

The data will be available through live chatbots such as Smart Upasthiti, Swadhyay among others

PM Modi inaugurated these projects to enhance the UG and PG courses along with specialised tertiary healthcare to the people
