Major Changes In CUET UG 2025

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to UG and PG courses will undergo several changes in the 2025 edition

Students taking the CUET UG in the upcoming year will be able to appear for a maximum of five subjects as against six previously

The decision was announced by UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar


Other changes for the undergraduate entrance test include reduction in the number of subjects from 63 to 37

Students will be allowed to appear for any subject irrespective of the subjects studied in class 12

Duration of the exam has been standardised to 60 minutes for the entrance exam

CUET UG will be conducted only as a computer-based test (CBT) from 2025 unlike the hybrid mode previously

In the upcoming exam, students will be required to attempt all questions as the concept of optional questions have been eliminated
