NTA has released the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 for the June session

The exams are scheduled for August 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 30 and September 2,3 and 4

The city intimation slips will be issued 10 days before the exam

Earlier, the exam was held in pen and paper mode on June 18 in two shifts: from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6pm

The UGC NET June 2024 was cancelled a day after it was held due to an alleged paper leak

The exam is held twice a year for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as assistant professor posts

The exam will also screen eligible candidates for enrollment in PhD programmes in colleges

Awarding of JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET

The test will consist of two papers. Both papers will comprise objective-type and multiple-choice questions
