Patna:
Seeking to build bridges with the new dispensation in Delhi, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will attend the swearing-in of Narendra Modi as the 15th Prime Minister of India tomorrow, sources in the Chief Minister's office said on Sunday.
Sources said that Mr Manjhi, who was nominated by Nitish Kumar as the chief minister after his resignation, would leave early in the morning for Delhi to take part in the oath-taking ceremony.
Mr Manjhi had received the invitation directly from Mr Modi when he had telephoned to congratulate him after he was sworn in as the new chief minister succeeding Mr Kumar who had resigned after the drubbing of his Janata Dal (United) in Lok Sabha election.
The JD(U) had ended its 17-year-old alliance with BJP in June last year in the wake of Mr Modi's elevation in the BJP.
