New Delhi:
BJP today appointed party vice-presidents Prabhat Jha and Uma Bharti as in charge of organisation affairs in Delhi and election in charge in Uttarakhand respectively.
The announcement of appointments were made by party President Rajnath Singh in Delhi.
Jha, who has recently been given a second term for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, will take care of BJP's Delhi unit party affairs.
Former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari is at present the election in charge of the Delhi unit of the party, where it missed the chance of government formation by a whisker after it emerged as the single largest party by securing 32 of the 70 Assembly constituencies.
The party is preparing itself for the next Assembly elections as well as for the Lok Sabha polls.
Delhi has seven Lok Sabha seats and BJP is facing the challenge of taking on the AAP, which emerged as a formidable force in the recent Assembly elections.
