BJP's Sushma Swaraj on 'chai par charcha' campaign: highlights

BJP is all set to launch the 'chai par charcha' campaign from February 12 for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj held a press conference in Delhi today to officially announce the innovative campaign.

• BJP is going to launch 'chai par charcha' for the Lok Sabha elections.
• 'Chai pe charcha' is a new and extensive effort. It has never been tried before. It is an entirely Indian concept.
• Narendra Modi to start BJP's nationwide 'chai pe charcha' discussion on February 12.
• 10-15 rounds of 'Chai pe charcha' campaign planned, 1000 locations identified.
• We plan to do one 'chai charcha' every five days. Will attempt to reach two crore people.
• There will be three parts to each 'Chai pe charcha' event - share, ask and suggest.

• The team launching the 'Chai pe charcha' programme has converged mediums like internet, mobile phones and social media.
• 'Chai pe charcha' event has not been postponed. Press meet being held today but the launch will go on as scheduled on February 12.
