Known for his flashy gold chains, veteran Bollywood musician Bappi Lahiri's wife owns more jewellery than her hubby, while he owns moveable and immoveable assets worth nearly Rs 12 crores, besides five cars including a BMW and an Audi.
According to Bappi's affidavit filed with the Election Commission, he owns 754 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs 17,67,451, while his wife Chitrani has 967 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 20,74,830.
Bollywood's 'Disco King' Bappida, who is contesting Lok Sabha polls on a BJP ticket from Serampore in West Bengal, also owns 4.62 kg of silver ornaments and bullion worth Rs 2,20,000.
His wife has 8.9 kg silver worth Rs 3,59,600 and 3.2 carats of diamonds estimated to be valued at Rs 4,27,353.
