Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh: A case has been registered against the Union Minister M M Pallam Raju for violation of election norms, police said on Thursday.
"On the basis of a newspaper report, we registered a case for violation of election code on May 5. He allegedly campaigned at the Government General Hospital, Kakinada, after the stipulated closing hour for the campaign," a police officer said.
Mr Raju, a Union Human Resource Development Minister, is contesting from Kakinada Parliamentary constituency, where election was held on Wednesday.
