New Delhi:
The BJP's office in Delhi will be packed on Friday with supporters and leaders tracking the election results.
A small team of people are keeping a different sort of count - nearly 20 chefs have begun rolling out mountains of ladoos. They'll work through the night to equip the party for the celebrations that it's counting on.
NDTV's exit poll shows the BJP and its allies getting 279 seats; a majority of 272 seats is needed to form a government.
The tally of ladoos at the party headquarters is to hit 1 lakh, said the chefs, who are from Delhi's famous Chandi Chowk.
Pollsters have been proven wrong before and warn that Indian elections are notoriously hard to predict. But the BJP's A-listers have been busy consulting with their prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, for their post-results strategy.
