Haryana Janhit Congress chief Kuldeep Bishnoi today declared his assets size including that of his spouse to the tune of more than Rs 78 crore, up by over 60 per cent as against assets of nearly Rs 48 crore shown during last Lok Sabha byelection in 2011.
45-year-old Bishnoi, who filed his nomination papers along with affidavit at Hisar in Haryana from where he is seeking re-election, saw his movable assets ballooning to Rs 58.70 crore on the back of rising bank deposits and extending personal loans. Bishnoi had declared movable assets of Rs 15.51 crore during the last polls.
Among movable assets, Bishnoi declared cash in hand amounting to Rs 4.85 lakh. He and his wife have bank deposits amounting to Rs 18.39 crore and Rs 27.83 lakh respectively.
Both have investments in bonds worth Rs 1.67 crore and 2.94 crore respectively.
Seemingly fond of premium cars, Bishnoi has declared a range of cars including Jaguar XF worth Rs 39.39 lakh, Audi Q7 valued at Rs 45.70 lakh, Range Rover at Rs 68.47 lakh and Tata Safari AT Rs 9.79 lakh.
Bishnoi has declared immovable assets worth Rs 16.52 crore which comprises farm land valued at Rs 4.63 crore, industrial plot and service station worth Rs 60 lakh and commercial building with a market value of Rs 3.79 crore.
Bishnoi, who holds BA degree from DAV College, Chandigarh, in 1990-91, owns a house in Hisar and in DLF Golf Course in Gurgaon, having a combined market value of Rs 7.5 crore.
Bishnoi and his wife have jewellery amounting to Rs 5.1 lakh (178.6 gm) and Rs 20.40 lakh (680 gm) respectively.
Bishnoi had declared jewellery valued at Rs 5 lakh (178.6 gm) in his affidavit filed in last polls in 2011.
Besides holding sizeable amount of assets, Bishnoi also has liabilities in his name and his wife's name amounting to Rs 9.60 crore and Rs 84.14 lakh respectively.
Bishnoi, son of late Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, has declared his occupation in agriculture and business, and has filed income tax return of Rs 98.53 lakh for 2012-13.
