Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh's wife has been renominated from a constituency that has come to be viewed as a family stronghold. Mr Singh had won the seat in 2009, but vacated it in 2012 after being made the chief minister of the state. His wife sailed through in the by-election.
