Key Contestant: Uma Bharti

The fiery sanyasin and Hindutva mascot, Uma Bharti, is seeking a re-entry into the Lok Sabha from Jhansi. She has in the past won from Khajuraho and Bhopal, but was shifted by the BJP to Jhansi. In 2012, she was elected to the UP assembly from Charkhari, a seat falling in the Mahoba district.
