Chennai:
AIADMK general secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Monday announced the election of senior leader M. Thambidurai as the party's parliamentary leader.
In a statement issued here, Jayalalithaa said a meeting of the party's Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members was held in Chennai chaired by her.
At the meeting, Mr Thambidurai was elected AIADMK parliamentary party leader and Rajya Sabha member V.Maitreyan as the deputy leader.
Mr Thambidurai will lead the party in the Lok Sabha, while Mr Maitreyan will be the leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha.
