Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will address the 'Desh Banao, Desh Bachao' rally at Parade Ground in Allahabad today.
The rally is part of an elaborate electoral road map for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, planned by the state parliamentary board, under which Mr Yadav will address 18 public rallies across the state.
Meanwhile, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will hold a rally at Lucknow's Ramabai Ambedkar ground today. Since his anointment as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, this will be Mr Modi's 8th rally in Uttar Pradesh.
BJP has made elaborate arrangements to bring its supporters to the venue. 29 special trains, 4,500 buses, 25,000 cars-jeeps and 50,000 motorcycles have been hired for the purpose.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal will also address a rally at the Ram Lila Ground in Kanpur today. The three-day (500km) roadshow was launched yesterday from the party office in Ghaziabad.
Massive security arrangements have been made across the state ahead of these rallies.
