Chennai: The ruling N R Congress in Puducherry has fielded former Speaker Mr R Radhakrishnan as its candidate for the lone seat in the Union Territory.
Mr R Radhakrishnan was the Speaker of the Puducherry Assembly between 2006 and 2011. He had quit the Congress recently.
Presently Puducherry is represented by V Narayanasamy, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.
