Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, in his first reaction after Bharatiya Janata Party's poll debacle in the Lok Sabha polls, on Monday said that there is no full stop in politics and the state will continue on the path of development.
"There is no full stop in politics," he said while replying to questions on the BJP's performance.
"Gujarat will continue its journey on the path of development," Modi said at the Ahmedabad airport before leaving for Delhi on Monday morning.
Modi indicated that he would continue to be the Chief Minister and take the state to the development path.
"I also say to the UPA government to pursue the path of development," Modi said.
Modi had extensively campaigned throughout India for BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani. After the dismal performance of BJP and NDA in the elections, this was Modi's first reaction to the result.
