About Goa Lok Sabha Election Results

The state has two Parliamentary constituencies- North Goa and South Goa.

The seaside state has a population of about 18.2 lakh. The state has 11,79,344 voters out of which 6,07,715 are women and 5,71,617 are men.

Union Minister Shripad Naik contested from North Goa Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket for the sixth time in a row.

Mr Naik, who is Union Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has been MP since 1999 from the seat, formerly called Panaji Lok Sabha between 1971 and 2004.

In the 2019 polls, he defeated the Congress' Girish Chodankar after garnering 57.07 per cent of the votes polled.

The state went to polls on May 7 and the results will be announced on June 4.
