About Nagaland Lok Sabha Election Results

Nagaland has just one parliamentary seat. It voted on April 19, the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, to elect a representative to the parliament and recorded a turnout of 57.72%. The Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO), an apex body of seven tribes from six districts - Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Noklak, Shamator, and Tuensang - in eastern part of the state, abstained from voting. It had also given an indefinite shutdown call that it lifted a day later. In 2019, Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP)'s Tokheho Yepthomi had won from Nagaland. He had earlier won the seat in a by-election in 2018 after Neiphiu Rio vacated the seat and went on to become the Chief Minister.
