About Puducherry Lok Sabha Election Results

Puducherry, earlier known as Pondicherry, which is a Union Territory of India, had its state assembly constituted in 1963. Puducherry has only one Lok Sabha constituency, which is known as Puducherry. Elections for the union territory's only Lok Sabha constituency were conducted on April 19, which was the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

In 2019, the Congress won the Puducherry seat. The candidate of the Congress who won the Puducherry seat, was V Vaithilingam.

The population of Puducherry is approximately 2,44,377, according to 2011 Census data. The male population is 1,19,430 and the female population is 1,24,947, according to the 2011 Census.

The voter turnout in Puducherry stood at 78.80 per cent, according to data revealed by the Election Commission.
