About Punjab Lok Sabha Election Results

Voting on 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab was held in the seventh and final phase of the 2024 elections on June 1. The state witnessed a four-way fight on all 13 parliamentary seats in the state with 328 candidates in the fray.

INDIA bloc allies Congress and AAP were contesting the polls separately while the BJP and the SAD were fighting the Lok Sabha polls on their own for the first time since 1996.

According to Census of 2011, Punjab has a population of 27,743,338 crores comprising of 14,639,465 males and 27,743,338 females.

In 2019, the Congress won eight seats in Punjab -- Amritsar, Faridkot, Anandpur Sahib, Jalandhar, Khadoor Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala -- while the Akali Dal won from Bathinda and Ferozepur, and the BJP emerged winners in Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur. The AAP won the Sangrur seat.
