Politically crucial state Uttar Pradesh sends 80 parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha. The Election Commission had announced a seven-phase polling for all the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh from April 19 to June 1.

In the 2019 election, the BJP won 62 seats in the state. The Samajwadi Party (SP) won five seats. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won 10 seats. The Congress got only 1.
The BJP does not appear to be facing a tough contest in UP again. Exit polls show the NDA is poised to win a clear majority while the Opposition bloc INDIA may touch double digits, and former party of power in the state BSP is project to win zero or single digit.
