New Delhi :

Happy birthday, Kajol. When the actress debuted in 1992 with the film Bekhudi, cinema lovers in India knew that a star was born. With each of her roles, Kajol has only further cemented this belief. From being the ultimate romantic diva to the menacing villain, Kajol has done it all with aplomb. She is also one of the few artists to have carved a niche for herself as a performer in what are considered to be strictly “commercial” films. And, in the process, she has presented us with scenes and songs that are cult favourites among people across generations.

It would not be wrong to say that any party - traditional or otherwise – is bound to feature a song of Kajol's. So, as the actress turns a year older today, we decided to revisit some of her evergreen songs. In addition to making you want to get up and groove, this list will surely take you on a much-needed walk down nostalgia lane.

It would almost be a crime to start the list without this song. This number from the cult classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is a sangeet staple and it has been for over 25 years now. And those who have watched the song will know why. A testament to Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan's legendary chemistry, this is the perfect love tune to play on a loop on your special day.

The song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, another SRK-Kajol starrer, is proof that she is a fabulous dancer who just didn't get her due. 5.Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main

Kajol dancing drunk with the Swiss Alps in the background and a worried Shah Rukh Khan in tow. Cinematic gold, some might say. It is no wonder that this extremely trippy number from DDLJ is a fan favourite and is sure to make you want to jhoom anytime you hear it.

The song from the 1997 film by Sapnay is cut from the same cloth as Mere Khwabon Mein. However, this track is not a celebration of love but of life and its myriad wonders. The perfect pick-me-up song that you need at the end of the long day. Watch the song here.
