5.Saving Private Ryan

This 1998 classic is based on the Invasion of Normandy in World War II. With some stunning visuals which will force you to avert your gaze, the movie is a startling reminder of the truth of remnants of war. 8.Black Hawk Down 

Academy Award-winning Black Hawk Down is based on the U.S. military's 1993 raid in Mogadishu. It is based on the 1999 non-fiction book of the same name by journalist Mark Bowden, and a must-watch for lovers of the genre. You can watch it on Netflix.
