The deadly second wave of the coronavirus that began to engulf India in March shows no signs of abating. In the last 24 hours, 3.68 lakh fresh COVID-19 cases were reported. A slew of celebrities, too, has been infected with the virus in the past few weeks. Last week, Telugu actor Allu Arjun had informed his followers on social media that he has tested positive and isolated himself. Now, in a new Instagram post on Monday, he has shared that he was recovering gradually. The note read, "Hello everyone. I am doing well with very mild symptoms. Recovering well and nothing to worry. I am still in quarantine."
The 38-year-old also expressed gratitude towards his fans and thanked them "for all the love you have been showing and the prayers you have been sending my way".
On April 28, the actor had tweeted, "Hello everyone, I have tested positive for COVID. I have isolated myself at home and have been following all the protocols. I request those who have come in contact with me to get tested. Stay home, stay safe and get vaccinated when you get the chance. I request all my well-wishers and fans not to worry about me as I am doing fine."

Reminiscing the time they spent on the sets of their 2020 film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, she tweeted, "Buntu seems to be giving Amulya company. Take care Allu Arjun. Sending you some healing light and energy. You'll be healthy in no time." Buntu and Amulya were the names of their characters in the film.

In 2020, Allu Arjun's actor-cousin Ram Charan had tested positive for COVID-19. His uncle and Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, too, battled coronavirus last year.
Workwise, Allu Arjun will next be seen in the movie Pushpa later this year. It also features Malayalam south actor Fahadh Faasil, who makes his Telugu debut in the movie, and actress Rashmika Mandanna.
