Mumbai:
Advaita Kala, who has penned thescript of forthcoming Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani, isplanning to write a novel on the same story line, albeit a bitdifferently.
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahani is a story of apregnant woman's (Vidya Balan) search for her husband throughthe bylanes of Kolkata.
The film, a thriller, begins with London-based, six-monthpregnant Vidya Bagchi's arrival in Kolkata amidst the DurgaPuja festivities. With nothing to rely on except fragments ofher husband's memories, all clues seem to reach a dead end.
"Advaita is writing the story. She is going to write it abit differently it won't be like the film... as people wouldhave seen the film ...the screenplay and would get bored. Shehas a plan to write a novel in a different way...so that willbe another interesting thing to wait and watch. She has adifferent take...her thought process is totally different tothe film, which will be good," Ghosh said in an interview.
Ask the director if he is fine with this idea of novel, and he says, "Ya..its ok. As all she (Advaita) has in her mindis to write it. I am sure she will not do anything that willharm the film."
The film will hit cinema houses on March 9, while thenovel should release by the end of this year.
