Aamir Khan Calls For Fast Track Courts To Curb Crime Against Women
Aamir Khan stressed upon the need to prioritise women's security in the country

Superstar Aamir Khan, who does his bit to bring social change in the country via his show Satyamev Jayate, is disturbed over the sexual assault on a young woman in Delhi. He stressed upon the need for fast track courts to dispense quick justice in these cases.

"What has happened in Delhi is really unfortunate. Each time I read something like this, my heart bleeds. It is really sad," Aamir, who is known to raise society's issues in Satyamev Jayate, said in an interview.

"If we want the rate of such incidents to come down, then one of the important things we need to do is (facilitate) a high rate of conviction. In the cases of crime against women or children, the first thing we have to do is to have fast track courts," he added.

A 25-year-old woman was reportedly raped by an Uber cab driver on December 5 after she took the cab around 9.30 p.m. from the capital's Vasant Vihar area.

Aamir said there's a dire need to sensitise the public towards law and order to curb the rape incidents and added: "We have to give top priority to the security of women and children."
