New Delhi: It is perhaps the most successful Bollywood franchise from Yash Raj Films. Actors like Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have been part of the series. The third film in the franchise has a budget of more than Rs 200 crore. (Read: 17 years after Rangeela, Jackie Shroff and Aamir in Dhoom: 3)
But looks like the troubles are never-ending for Dhoom: 3.
The movie has been delayed yet again and the reason this time is Aamir Khan's hair. Reportedly, the schedule which was to start in Chicago on June 29, 2012, will now begin only on July 7, 2012.
This is the third time that Aamir has postponed the film - first it was for Reema Kagti's Talaash and then the actor got busy with his debut TV show Satyamev Jayate.
Hair though has always been an essential part of Aamir Khan's blockbusters. While he kept them long for the first half of his career, post Dil Chahta Hai all that changed. The actor spiked his hair for the movie and sported a goatee too.
For Lagaan he kept it simple with a gamcha to add the rural touch.
In Mangal Pandey, Aamir grew his tresses really long, though the film had a short run at the box office.
Aamir as DJ in Rang De Basanti was an instant hit and his no haircut cut was much loved.
With Ghajini, the actor went for a close shave, which became quite a rage too.
He made a style statement yet again with his Mohawk cut in Taare Zameen Par.
The perfect haircut may not be a guarantee for a box office hit, it perhaps helps Aamir Khan get closer to his character - while we wait eagerly for his next hairdo in Dhoom: 3.
