Aamir Khan with Kiran Rao and Azad in Mumbai.
New Delhi:
Actor Aamir Khan says that his 5-year-old son hasn't expressed his desire to act in films and in fact, he starts crying while watching Aamir's film. Aamir, who is currently promoting Secret Superstar, said: "Azad has never expressed his desire to act in films. I don't think he has ever seen a full film. He has seen parts of my film here and there but so far he's too small (to watch a full film). I think he has seen some animated films and all that." Azad is Aamir Khan's son with his second wife Kiran Rao. Azad was born via surrogacy in December 2011. Aamir Khan also has a 23-year-old son, Junaid, and a 19-year-old daughter, Ira, from his first wife Reema.
Of Azad, Aamir Khan said that his youngest child starts crying while watching his films. "He gets scared when he watches a film of mine. In PK, he saw people hitting me and he started crying and had to be taken out of the screening." It seems that Azad and Aamir have one thing in common - they cry a lot in movies. Azad may be scared for his father's well-being after watching him being beaten onscreen but Aamir is just too emotional. Remember he cried and cried when he watched Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan - he needed a towel to wipe his tears. Aamir also cried after watching Katti Batti, featuring his nephew Imran Khan and later again in Salman Khan's Sultan.
In Secret Superstar, Aamir Khan plays the role of an arrogant singer and reality show judge, who somehow helps a budding singer (played by Zaira Wasim) realize her dream of becoming a superstar. This is Zaira's second film with Aamir Khan after Dangal, in which she played the younger version of Geeta Phogat and won a National Award for it too.
Secret Superstar releases on October 19.

It may be too soon for Azad, but Aamir's elder son Junaid has already started his career in films and theatre. Junaid studied theatre in Los Angeles and is all set to debut in director Quasar Thakore Padamsee's play. Junaid also assisted director Rajkumar Hirani in PK.
