New Delhi:
Aamir Khan and son are a busy family at the moment. While the social issues highlighted on TV show Satyamev Jayate are occupying Aamir's attentions, his 17 year old son Junaid is taking his first steps in Bollywood.
Junaid, who's mother is Aamir's first wife Reena Dutta, will serve as first assistant director to Rajkumar Hirani on his film Peekay, starring Aamir and Anushka Sharma.
According to tabloid reports, it was Rajkumar Hirani who offered Junaid the project and the youngster later convinced his father that he would not neglect his studies.
A source close to the Khan family told (The Times of India newspaper), "Junaid has always been fascinated by the various aspects of filmmaking. He used to often accompany his father to the sets of his films. He always had a viewpoint. And Aamir was rather impressed with it."
Junaid has already shown a flair for organisation. In May this year he roped in actors Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee for a charity cricket match. Perhaps he's inherited his father penchant for detail and perfection. If yes, then Mr Hirani for one will have made a value addition to his team.
