New Delhi:
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is planning to visit the 3 Idiots school in Leh which has been damaged due to the recent cloud bursts.
The Druk Pema school had come into limelight after it was shown as Aamir aka Rancho's school in 3 Idiots. About 15 km from Leh on the Leh-Manali highway, the school was damaged after a cloudburst led to flash floods in the region on Friday which has claimed 165 lives.
Aamir has expressed his concern for the flood-hit school where the last few scenes of his blockbuster were shot and decided to visit it soon.
"Very shocked and distressed to hear about the school we shot in Leh for 3i. Trying to get in touch with the Principal. I suppose the communications are down too," wrote Aamir on his Facebook account.
"Just spoke with Mr Prasad, the Principal at the school in Leh. Big relief after speaking with him. Am trying to go there," the actor further wrote.
Meanwhile actress Priyanka Chopra, the newly appointed UNICEF ambassador, who has spent her childhood days in Leh said she is also trying her best to help the victims.
Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Rahul Bose, Sonam Kapoor and Bipasha Basu have expressed their condolences and support for the victims on Twitter.
