Superstar Aamir Khan, who was aguest on the Bengali version of Who Wants to be aMillionaire along with his wife Kiran Rao, won a whopping onecrore rupees on the game show hosted by Sourav Ganguly.
The actor-turned producer, who donated the amount to akids' charity, used his all life lines before reaching thefinal stage on Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti and gave correctanswers after some friendly tiffs with Kiran.
The star couple were the first to win the huge amounton the regional game show, with the highest prize money beingRs 25 lakh won by a commoner previously.
After being told that they were the first winners ofthe amount, Aamir and Kiran exclaimed, "Oh! Is it?"
When Ganguly, 39, said that Aamir's answers for thelast two posers - about the emblem within the HyderabadNizam's first flag and India sharing the longest boundary withwhich neigbhouring country - were bang on target, Kiran said,"He is like this always, very clear in thoughts and precisewith keen interest in history and geography.
"He also never gets worked up in a situation."The couple said the entire amount would go toSaraswati Mandir Trust, a children's charity.
Conversation on the show, aired on the former Indianskipper's birthday, steered towards Aamir's latest film DelhiBelly.
Joking that it is time for item girls to pack up,Aamir, 46, said that his 'I hate you, like I love you' numberin the film is a tribute to the disco era of the 1980s.
"The dance number is my tribute to that golden era ofBappida (Lahiri) and Mithunda (Chakarvarty). This is to allthose who belonged to that era - Amitabh Bachchan, RishiKapoor, Jeetendra and Govinda."
To a question by Ganguly, Aamir said he would not wantchildren watching the episode flocking to cineplexes to seeDelhi Belly "as it is an adult comedy but very youthful anda lot irreverent."
