TV actress Aashka Goradia, who recently announced that she is taking a break from acting, has tested positive for coronavirus. Her husband Brent Goble is also Covid-positive. Aashka, who had been staying with Brent in Goa lately, shared the news on social media on Wednesday. The actress posted a statement on her Instagram story in which she informed everyone that the couple got tested for Covid-19 before travelling to her home in the US. Their reports came positive. She also shared that they have stayed back in Goa and are in isolation. Both Aashka and Brent are "feeling fine" and not experiencing any "deliberating" symptoms.
"In preparation for our trip to my home in the US, Brent Goble and I have both tested positive for Covid. We have been reeling from this news since this morning when we were just about to leave Goa. Both of us are feeling fine physically but the test reports say otherwise and that means we have to let the virus run its course. Thankfully with our active and healthy lifestyle, we aren't experiencing any deliberating symptoms. We are at our home in Goa, safe, and not in contact with anyone," Aashka wrote in her Instagram story.

Aashka also posted another Instagram story. She called the new Covid strain a "nasty and sly devil". Aashka wrote, "Folks, it doesn't matter how healthy you are - everyone, literally everyone, is at risk. This new strain is a nasty and sly devil."
The actress shared that the couple earlier got tested for Covid-19 on Saturday but the reports came negative back then. They got tested again on Monday "to be double sure". This time, their reports came positive.

While we appreciate all the concern and speed recovery wishes, I'd implore everyone reading this to please keep those who are really debilitated in your thoughts and prayer. We will be fine, while so many others may not be. Let's all hold a space for THEIR recovery, as well as those who are indirectly impacted. So much love from us," read an excerpt from Aashka's Instagram story.

On April 26, Aashka Goradia had announced that she is taking a break from acting and will now venture into business. In an interview to Bombay Times, the Laagi Tujhse Lagan actress said, "Entrepreneurship was a path I wanted to pursue. Business was always in my blood, and this dream has been with me for quite some time now. Acting happened by chance. I was only 16 when I moved to Mumbai, but while pursuing my acting career, I had this business virus in me, to do something in the world out there and that has finally happened. So, I felt it's time I tell everyone that acting, for now, is going on a break as I pursue my other dream."
Aashka added, "For now, it is a goodbye. Whether this sabbatical is temporary or permanent, time will tell, but I know that I am not taking up anything in acting in the coming future."
Aashka Goradia has worked in TV shows like Kkusum, Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Baal Veer,Naagin., Daayan and Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap among others.
Aashka also participated in reality TV shows like Bigg Boss 6 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 4. She was last seen as a contestant in Kitchen Champion 5 in 2019.
