Abhay Deol will be seen hosting Gumrah from August 31
Actor-producer Abhay Deol will once again be seen on the small screen as the host of the fourth season of the TV show, Gumrah - End of Innocence. He hopes the stories will educate parents, families along with the youth. Channel V's one-hour long teen crime show starts on August 31 and will feature 13 episodes. It was earlier hosted by TV actor Karan Kundra.
"I've been a huge fan of the show and am excited to be a part of the greater message. Gumrah focuses on the thought that nobody is born a criminal but instead circumstances and certain unforeseen incidents take one down a bad path. The idea is to not only educate parents, families but also the youth," the actor, who earlier hosted Connected Hum Tum, said in a statement.
The Dev D star will be seen with a celebrity in each episode. "The show is about the youth, their tryst with crime and the circumstances which led to the incident, rather than sensationalising the crime or the criminal himself," said Ajit Thakur, EVP and business head for Channel V.
