Abhay Deol has purchased one-acre land in north Goa to build his dream house, an eco-friendly project. Construction begins soon in a month's time.
"The land is on the side of a mountain, surrounded by greenery and has a great view," said Abhay's friend.
He added: "There will be four bedrooms, a living room and a dining room and an open kitchen. His master bedroom will be on the first floor with a terrace. A 22-seater private screening room is also on the cards."
Abhay's friends, architect couple Vishakha and Muninder Chowdhry will be designing his dream house. "Abhay wants a house that incorporates environmentally sustainable design.The construction will conform to leed Platinum standards in its development," said Muninder Chowdhury.
What architectural style will be employed? "We won't be stylistically bound. It will be a contemporary home, with materials, colours and accents that reflect Abhay's personality in many ways. The house will have pitched and green roofs with huge windows for a lot of natural light," Muninder added.
What is Abhay bringing to the table, in terms of creative inputs? "A lot! He has an amazing taste and it's a joy to work with him."
