New Delhi:
Filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee andactor Abhay Deol today screened Shanghai to a batch of IASofficers in Mussoorie ahead of its world premiere at theupcoming IIFA awards in Singapore.
Abhay, who plays the role of a Tamilian IAS officer inthe multi-starrer, travelled to the hill station with Dibakarto showcase the film.

"The screening has just happened and we are all veryexcited about it. When we were making the film we had thoughtof showing it to IAS officers because Abhay's character isfrom their world. Dibakar referred his IAS friends for Abhay'srole. We thought it would be great to show it to the officersas a token of gratitude," producer Priya Shreedharan told PTI.
The movie also stars Kalki Koechlin, Emraan Hashmi andProsenjit in key roles. It will hit the theaters next Friday.

Priya wants the officers to enjoy the film and hopes thatthere are not many mistakes in portraying an IAS officer.
"We are hoping that we haven't made any glaring mistakeswhich will upset the officers. We hope that they like andenjoy the film. Abhay has done a fabulous job and full justiceto the character. We just want to entertain them from thefilm," she added.
After the movie is screened Abhay and Dibakar will alsohave an interactive session with the officers.
